​Bob Schaefer

     Founder

 

In 1972, Bob established:  Robert Schaefer Group, LLC.  (1972-2018)

Executive Office, New Canaan, CT  •  Western Office, Salt Lake City, UT

 

Bob's long fulfilled vision:

  • To create a full-service, creative driven, Marketing and Communications firm that specializes in Brand Support Services.  

  • Aggressively develop powerful, strategic, creative and genuinely savvy business solutions from creative concept to completion. 

  • Bring together a highly talented team with the ability to quickly and accurately assess marketing challenges that ensure that projects stay on-point, on-time and on-budget.

 

Over the years the company prospered and expanded, providing products and services to numerous major corporations and financial institions.​

In 1992, Bob stepped down from the active management of the firm remaining as Chairman. His rationale was the desire to focus on a topic of great interest and concern to him, education. 

 

In 1993, he founded Schaefer Institute, a totally volunteer, non-profit organization.  In addition to the Institute, Bob is active in other societal endeavors including:

​

  • 1970’s  First President of the Westport, CT Jaycees

  • 1990’s  President's Advisory Board - Judge Memorial High School, Salt Lake City, UT

  • 2000's  Coaching Little League Baseball in Palm Beach Gardens, FL

​

In 1970, Bob and Cecilia (Sissy) were married and reside in Jupiter, FL.  They have one daughter Christine and three grandsons Colin, Cooper and Conor.

 

An avid Baseball (Yankees) and Hockey fan, Bob was a former owner of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).  His favorite hobbies include various activities with his grandsons and playing famous golf courses.

 

 

​Christine Schaefer Haggerty

                  Chairman

​

Christine is a strong child’s advocate and has received national awards for community service. Christine has held various positions of increasing responsibility within the Institute from Student Intern to Chairman.

 

Christine is employed by Nestle Health Science.  Previously, Christine worked for Pfizer and Novartis Pharmaceutical Companies and participated in the launch and promotion of several blockbuster cardiovascular, neuroscience and arthritis drugs. While at Novartis, she was a member of a Select National Committee that founded “Women in Leadership” that was adopted as a company driven initiative.

 

Christine attended the King School in Stamford, CT and prep school at The Benjamin School, North Palm Beach, FL.  She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL.

 

A skilled golfer, Christine has played in American Junior (AJGA) and National Women’s Amateur Tournaments.  Though a busy schedule limits her play, with a 4 Handicap all is not lost!

 

Christine lives with her husband Casey and three children, Colin, Cooper and Conor.
